Convergence is Reality: 75% of Americans Viewing and Surfing Simultaneously

Significant impact for marketers striving to capture attention in an already crowded landscape.   Media consumption patterns are shifting away from TV and other traditional media outlets and more towards the internet...and often simultaneously.  Study by Nielson on behalf of Yahoo demonstrated that "multi-tasking" is common and growing.  And, women are more likely to multi-task than men, at 77% to 73%
