New Data On Women, Purchasing, the Internet, and more

A lot of data coming out lately about internet usage and trends, particularly with regard to women.

Most notable:
  • when it comes to purchasing, women in the U.S. buy online more than men, with 12.5% of female internet users making an online purchase in February 2010, compared to 9.3% of men.  (ComScore study)
  • Women are most receptive to marketing messages on lifestyle, specialty and review sites.  (Yahoo study)
