Online Advertising: Study Shows Plateau in Clickthrough Rates Plateau at 0.09%

Metrics continue to evolve for measurement of online advertising effectiveness.  The use of clickthrough rates (CTR) as a primary benchmark is waning.



























The following chart shows that only 1/5 of conversions came from clickthrough ... nearly 80% came from post-impression conversion at a later date.
